DC's Ken Block came into the final round of the 2012 GRC prepared, and with high hopes. After dominating the qualifying laps, Ken set him self up for a good event by taking the fastest overall time. He then went on to run flawless races in both heat races, securing the #1 position leading into the final. At the start of the final, Ken dominated each lap. When everything was going his way, a stroke of bad luck hit, as there was an electrical fire inside the car, forcing Ken to pull over quickly, and jump out of the car. With less than 3 laps to go, his race was over. Despite the tragic end of the race, Ken put on a great race, and showed the fans of Las Vegas a good time.
